  • Indoor
    • Art - Print out any favorite art and paint them
    • Ask questions - Ask question after reading a story: answers can be hilarious
    • Baking Cookies - Buy those cookie dough and let them have fun making those cookies in various shapes with favorite M&M.
    • Basket of toys - Keep a small basket of toys in every room. Hidden toys are never used!
    • Bead it - Make necklaces etc. Use colored beads or tubular past or cheerios. You can be creative as much as you want.
    • Build Collages - Keep old newspaper to make collages on paper or cardboard
    • Cardboard cutouts - Collect large cardboard, let them draw ships like large airplane and cut it for them. Let them draw and paint on it.
    • Chutes and Ladders - Chutes and Ladders, is a classic children's board game played between 2 or more players on a playing board with numbered grid squares. On certain squares on the grid are drawn a number of "ladders" connecting two squares together, and a number of "snakes" also connecting squares together. The size of the grid (most commonly 8?8, 10?10 or 12?12) varies from board to board, as does the exact arrangement of the snakes and the ladders: both of these may affect the duration of game play. Snakes and ladders' simplicity and the see-sawing nature of the contest make it popular with younger children.
    • Clean Kitchen - Give them a spray bottle full of water and towels. Let them clean even though you may have to to do it again
    • Cleanup Activity - Get those old rags and towels to clean up the kitchen. It teaches them something as well. Encourage with a little reward.
    • Coloring Statues - Go to arts and crafts store and get those white plaster statues and paint with acrylic.
    • Cooking - Invite kids to join you in tearing and cleaning lettuce, pound the chicken cutlets with the tenderizing hammer, crack the eggs for cookies. Just be careful with access to knives etc.
    • Costume Jewelry - Get out all the old and artificial Jewelry and let them play with it with different costumes. They love this activity.
    • Dough Kneading - Kneading the dough and getting themselves dirty is an activity they love a lot. Make tortilla or cookie from it to see the value in it.
    • Hide and Seek - Does this need an explanation!
    • Indoor Picnic - Pretend like a real picnic. Pull up a sheet in or outside the house in the backyard. Decorate paper plates with stickers, make peanut butter and banana sandwiches, read a story, count coins or whatever. How fun!
    • Little Chefs - Place a small play table and chairs in the corner or just outside of your kitchen. Place a little play kitchen with plastic foods. They can pretend to make chocolate chip cookies or serve the whole dinner. They can pretend to wash dishes and toys in the plastic mini kitchen oven.
    • Little Michelangelo - Place a waterproof blanket on the floor with an easel stocked with a big pad, washable crayons, magic markers and brushes. They can even eat their, spill and make a mess. What a party!
    • Make a movie and load it on Bibadee - Use the video camera and shoot them playing, dancing, them introducing to each of their favorite dolls or stuffed animals. Record them show off skills such as shoelace tying, pouring their own juice, and then watch that tape. Load and store it on Bibadee and watch it over and over again.
    • Make Collages - Keep a stack of old magazines and catalogues in your crafts closet (with kid friendly themes like seed and gardening catalogs, food magazines, toy catalogs and sports weeklies. Generate a theme (sports or something starting with a letter) and use glue stick to glue on. Lots of fun.
    • Mixing - Mix toothpaste, water, oil, shampoo and get dirty
    • Organize books - Organize in alphabetical order and so on. Tally charts who has the most and who has the highest stack
    • Organize bookshelf - Organize them as you like and motivate them to read all those cool books that they read a while ago or were unopened or belonged to their brothers and sisters.
    • Pasta Art - Cook up stringy pasta, cool it. Let them use it to make art on paper. Very nice.
    • Plastic playhouse - It is amazing how much kids play with this.
    • Play 'war' the card game - Deal out all the cards, so that each player has 26. Players do not look at their cards, but keep them in a packet face down. The object of the game is to win all the cards. Both players now turn their top card face up and put them on the table. Whoever turned the higher card takes both cards and adds them (face down) to the bottom of their packet. Then both players turn up their next card and so on.
    • Play Beauty Parlor - Take out old cosmetics, hair scrunches, and nail polish and let her do mommy pampering or her playmate pampering.
    • Play Doctor - Have a doctor play kit or just few bandages and pretend hurt on the foot. Let them clean it with warm water and so on. It is also a great learning experience.
    • Play doh - Always a great thing to play with and mess around.
    • Play Gas Station - Pretend the bike needs gas. Drive back and forth. Get a drink and pay fake money and so on.
    • Play outside first - Ask them to play 15 minutes outside first and give them with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, paint and you will see that they play for hours
    • Pretend Dad or Mom Game - Get those old T-shirts of yours and let them pretend and have fun
    • Rock Painting - Collect rocks from the backyard, wash them and paint with washable paints
    • Scavenger Hunt - List or draw a list of items in the house (comb, necklace, spoon, ball, hairbrush). Give them a container. After they have searched, reward them with snack or something. It is so much fun.
    • Separate photos into events - This is great and wonderful if served with crackers and cheese. Ask others to bring theirs.
    • Sort coins - Empty the piggy bank, sort,count and make tally chart
    • Sponge painting - Cut sponge into pieces, dip into colors and put them onto a paper, decorate and use it as a fun wrapping paper for birthday gift.
    • Stamping - Buy those Waterproof ink pads and stamps and let them stamp it on their feet or paper or whatever except your walls and furniture
    • Sticker it - Get sheets of stickers and stick them to shoebox or plastic drinking cups
    • Swing Set - Great backyard activity. They are ready for them anytime of the day. I you don't a local park would.
    • Tape it - Use tape recorder to record songs and other cool sounds that they can make and play them over. Even save them when you can hear them later as they grow old. Upload on Bibadee.
    • Tea Party fun with letters - Cut out shapes and ask what letter they begin with etc.
    • Tell stories with old photos - Get those old photos out, play quiz or tell a nice story
    • Use computer - Open a word document and let them type in what they want or give them a exercise to type in a recipe or a story or to make up a list for Santa. Or a list for birthday Gifts Or a list of friends.
    • Vacuum the living room - Small Portable Cordless vacuum for them to play vacuuming game. It is safe and great way for the to learn and get intrigued by it.
    • Water pouring - Give them some buckets and small cans and spoons. Let them pour water from one to other. They can have fun counting number of spoons of water they poured in etc. Make sure this is done on a water proof mat.
  • Outdoor
    • Ballet - Pop in those stores and watch them practice
    • Bookstores - Enjoy story hours and activities that they schedule, read storybooks and may be even buy a book that they have been longing for.
    • Children's Museum - Great Visit. Some of them are even free.
    • Home Depot - Watch demonstrations, just walk around
    • Library - They may feature holiday events, craft sessions, computer classes, reading clubs for kids etc. It is so relaxing and educational.
    • Local bus - Take the commuter bus, get off and have ice cream. Board Back.
    • Local sports events - AYSO Soccer games and others
    • Movie - There is always some great kids movie.
    • Musical instrument stores - Watch , play gently with drum or a piano.
    • Pet store - Shop file with puppies, kittens, birds etc. Make sure you are aware of any allergic conditions your child may have.
    • Plant nurseries - Visit a nursery and enjoy watching
    • Play soap bubbles - One can have competition on how many "twin", "triplet" or "quadruplet" bubbles they attached to each other.
    • Puppet shows - Check the local listings and you ill find them.
    • Sand Box - Great thing to play with, put some toys in it. Let them enjoy what kids do.
    • Sporting goods store - Lot to see, run around, play with balls, touch equipments and get familiarized
    • Tae Kwon do - Pop in these stores and watch one. May be your child would get interested in joining one
    • Theme Parks - This doesn't need an explanation.
    • Toy Stores - They are always fun as long as you keep your credit card under control
    • Wash the Car - Let them clean the car with a hose, wipe with rags and you pick up those fallen cheerios on the seat as they may be tempted to eat them. Offer some reward: fifty cents or a cookie
    • Work in the garden - Give them a bucket to pull up the weeds. Whoever wins for the most weeds, gets a prize.
    • Zoo - They always love it
